We jumped into the new year ready to hit the mountain...
However, this year could have been challenging: John-Jefferson had never snow-skied before and I was nervous it would not be to his liking!
So we rented him some gear and took him to the mountain and he had the very best teachers - Hamp & Lea! They were patient, but they had high expectations for him and he rose to the occasion. He took to it so well he was skiing medium difficulty runs by the afternoon... and liked it enough that he purchased a season pass later that week!
So we spent almost every weekend in January at Sunlight. There are always friends to bring along or meet up with and everyone agrees it is the perfect pandemic activity - masked up, outside, spaced out and having fun!
January 1st - John-Jefferson's training day
January 3rd - MILESTONE:
Hamp, Sam & John-Jefferson went by themselves! I was equal parts proud and anxious watching them pull out of the driveway without me... but they had a great day!
